Lanyon "Year of Managed Spend" Terms and Conditions

The Program

Lanyon is conducting a contest that will award one winner 12 months of use of the Lanyon Total Hospitality Suite for corporate travel buyers. In exchange for 12 consecutive months of use of the Lanyon Total Hospitality Suite, including:

  • Lanyon Transient Sourcing
  • Lanyon Meeting & Event Sourcing
  • Lanyon Meeting & Event Attendee Management
  • Lanyon Engagement & Project Sourcing
  • Lanyon Rate Integrity solutions, including
    • Lanyon Rate Audit
    • Lanyon Squatter Audit
    • Lanyon Rate Parity
    • Lanyon Rate Availability

The contestant winner agrees to maintain a public blog, hosted by Lanyon, where the winner will post non-proprietary and non-confidential information about the use, benefit, and applicability of the Lanyon Total Hospitality Suite, at least twice per month; henceforth referred to as the" Program".

The blog postings are intended to provide a wider degree of awareness of the discipline of total hospitality spend management. Lanyon will not edit the winner's monthly blog posts, but expects the winner to use discretion in postings, and not reveal information that is either confidential to their employer, or to Lanyon. Lanyon reserves the right to approve blog posts before they are made public.

Blog posts are to be a minimum of 750 words per post, and continue at least twice per month during the course of the Program, henceforth referred to as "Duties".

The winner shall also agree to participate in a "case study" that may be used for marketing and promotional activities by Lanyon. The participant will approve any content contained in the case study.

The winner agrees to be included in a press release announcing their participation and a press release at the conclusion of the year of services, detailing the incremental savings (%) generated from deployment and adoption of the Lanyon solutions.

Qualifications to Enter to Win

Contestants are qualified to win the Program if they:

  • Are presently employed by a Fortune 1000 corporation.
  • Are actively involved in the management and procurement of hospitality spend for a Fortune 1000 corporation.
  • Have submitted an application that specifies why their company should win the Program, and how using the Program will be of benefit to their company.
  • Have validated their entry in person during the NBTA Convention in Houston, TX at the Lanyon Booth Number 2101.

Selection

One winner will be selected from a pool of qualified entrants. The winner will be selected by a panel of qualified, impartial judges selected by Lanyon who will judge qualified and validated entrants based upon the written application that specifies why their company should win the Program, and how using the Program will be of benefit to their company.

The winner will be announced at the end of the NBTA convention, and the Program will commence not later than October 1, 2010. In the event that the winner is unable to perform the duties as specified with the Program, Lanyon reserves the right to select another winner. If the winner is unable to continue to maintain their Duties in accordance with the Program, Lanyon reserves the right to terminate the Program and/ or select another winner.
